This was a very solid production but I did wonder whether Maury Yeston had been listening to Les Miserables the day before he wrote some of the numbers?
I thought that The Play That Goes Wrong was sensational, and I couldn't recommend it enough. You simply have to see this show while it is in Liverpool.
Son Of A Preacher Man is entertaining and has its moments, but there are clear issues on display which prevent this from being a show to truly remember.
Shrek is a huge, big-budget presentation courtesy of DreamWorks, and it's one that I highly urge people of all ages, especially those with young children, to go and see during its current stint at the Empire.
Legally Blonde is well worth watching, and the big scenes had the audience up on their feet applauding and cheering wildly. When you've got the crowd in the palm of your hands, you know that you've got a hit, and Legally Blonde certainly stands out as one of the better shows that you'll see in 2018.
The live version of My Dad Wrote A Porno is naughty, fun and surreal, a sign of how sex will always sell. Even if it's triggered simply by Belinda blinking.
Overall, An Officer And A Gentleman was a great show, with a finale that had the audience up on their feet!
Jonny Fines: "An Officer And A Gentleman ticks all of the boxes, and on top of all that, you get to have a fun night as well."
This was a good show with a talented, varied cast, featuring some great dance routines and superb singing, with Ray Quinn on stage throughout most of the production and delivering his usual professional performance.
This is a great production (direct from Broadway and the West End), and I highly recommend anyone reading this to check it out during its run in Liverpool.
