From the outset, it was obvious that this was something more than the normal run-of-the-mill tribute show – having had the privilege of seeing Tina Turner perform live
twice, this was like the real thing and then some!

Justine Riddoch is the closest copy of Tina Turner that she could possibly be. Every single mannerism, movement and intonation is ‘totally Tina’. The vocals were
outstanding, and with state-of-the-art lighting and staging, it made for a hugely entertaining evening.

There were costume changes galore and talented dancers performing professionally-choreographed routines, fire jugglers, on-stage pyrotechnics – you name it! All of the well-known Turner anthems were covered. In addition to the stunning performance by Justine, there were some excellent vocals from on-stage musicians Andy and Jimmy with respective sax and guitar solos. The high voltage energy was maintained throughout with the audience swept along from number to number.

There was a real family feel from the whole crew, and then as an additional surprise, we found out that the whole gang without exception are from Merseyside (Justine is from Crosby)! The American accent slipped and she told us in her real accent about the band and how pleased they were to be playing in the Echo Arena. The performance was being filmed for a promotional video, and we all played our part whenever required.

There were standing ovations and real appreciation from the audience. This was a thoroughly enjoyable show which I would recommend to anyone who is a Tina fan. Totally Tina is Totally Terrific!
