WWE Crown Jewel 2021

Crown Jewel 2021 Under Card

The opening clash between Edge and Seth Rollins inside Hell In A Cell is fantastic. Indeed, it’s a classic match and one of the best HIAC showdowns of the modern era. Look out for the brutal fall that Rollins takes when Edge shoves him off the top rope to the ringside area. Next, we see Mustafa Ali come surprisingly close to defeating Mansoor before the home country boy seals the win. Meanwhile, RK-Bro vs. AJ Styles & Omos is most notable for Riddle arriving on a camel. I am not making that up.

The Queen’s Crown final between Zelina Vega and Doudrop is a TV-level bout, though still a major victory for Vega. Then, we see Goldberg and Bobby Lashley destroy one another in a brutal No Holds Barred match. In particular, the ending of this match is a memorable sight. Best of all, Goldberg has his most credible showing for ages, which suggests that he isn’t finished just yet. Meanwhile, Xavier Woods would achieve his biggest win to date by defeating Finn Balor to become King Of The Ring.

Crown Jewel 2021 Main Events

Big E vs. Drew McIntyre is a very good yet ultimately forgettable WWE Championship bout. It does, though, give Big E a real boost as he looks to establish himself as a permanent main event babyface. Elsewhere, Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair is a highly entertaining three-way clash. This impressed me primarily due to the sheer volume of creative spots that are hard to execute, but even harder to remember. That all three could bring everything together so seamlessly is a real credit to their talents.

In the main event, Roman Reigns would face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title. The emphasis for this would be on Paul Heyman at ringside, with his allegiance under serious debate. However, it’s The Usos that have the biggest influence on the result. With Reigns vs. Lesnar set to headline Day 1 on January 1 2022, their feud is far from over. Nevertheless, this clash in Saudi Arabia is a good effort and a worthy way to end a card chock-a-block with major matches and moments.

Crown Jewel 2021 Summary

Summing this one up, WWE Crown Jewel 2021 is probably the best WWE PPV of the year. The opener is amazing, the final three matches are all really good, and Goldberg vs. Lashley exceeds expectations. Add to that some milestone victories further down the card, and the red-hot crowd, and you have an awesome event. It’s certainly the best WWE supershow to date in Saudi Arabia. So, this DVD is definitely worth considering, as it has plenty of greatness to offer.

Overall Rating: 8.5/10 – Excellent
