This is our DVD review for WWE Money In The Bank 2020. This show would promise a “corporate ladder” match by way of the men’s and women’s MITB bouts starting on the ground floor of WWE HQ in Stamford, Connecticut, and with the participants having to ascend the complex to reach a ring on the roof, whereby a more traditional chase for the MITB cases would commence. This was obviously a consequence of current world events necessitating more creativity, but it proved to be a wise decision that made for a memorable spectacle. This is the latest DVD review for our site. So, let’s see what we think of Money In The Bank 2020!

Money In The Bank 2020 Under Card
The DVD of course provides additional matches aside from the double MITB main event. The opening four-way for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles between The New Day, The Miz & John Morrison, Lucha House Party and The Forgotten Sons is an enjoyable if slightly sloppy affair. A planned R-Truth vs. MVP bout gave way to Bobby Lashley pounding Truth, thus sowing the seeds for Lashley and MVP to form an on-screen alliance. Meanwhile, Bayley vs. Tamina was as good as could be expected, but it was hardly a classic at the same time.
Braun Strowman vs. Bray Wyatt is more about the story of Wyatt trying to re-recruit Strowman into his mad world than about the Universal Championship at stake, which serves a purpose as an angle, but leaves something to be desired for those hoping to watch a real match. Far better is Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins, as they deliver a very good WWE Title contest that sees both men giving everything that they possibly can, before McIntyre ultimately retains with a Claymore Kick. The post-match handshake seemed to suggest a Seth babyface turn, but as it turned out, Rollins has only acted more heelish than ever in the subsequent weeks.

And so we come to the two MITB matches, which were held simultaneously and produced cinematically. These were low on big-time bumps as per the MITB tradition, but they were high on entertainment, as well as offering some great comedy as well as a few surprise cameos that I won’t spoil here. In the end, the lucky winners were Asuka and Otis, with Asuka learning the next night on Raw that she was actually the new Raw Women’s Champion due to Becky Lynch becoming pregnant.
Money In The Bank 2020 Analysis
This two-in-one match presentation will always stand out amongst MITB Ladder contests due to the unique circumstances. But hopefully, WWE will produce similar “race to the top” bouts in the future, even if they do so separately from the MITB gimmick because what we got to see here was a lot of fun.

On the whole, WWE Money In The Bank 2020 has its moments. But, the dual MITB segment and McIntyre vs. Rollins are the primary reasons to consider rewatching this event on DVD.
