A much-needed defensive addition of Ibrahima Konate and confirmed departures of Georginio Wijnaldum and Marco Grujic to Paris Saint-Germain and Porto respectively have been the most significant movements for the club so far. Jarrod Bowen – West Ham United – £35m

According to the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool FC has identified Jarrod Bowen as a potential addition to their forward options. The 24-year-old Englishmen tallied 8 goals and 5 assists over 38 games for West Ham United, which is not a prolific return for the £35m asking price for the winger. This is also quite an excessive fee for someone who will likely play second fiddle to Liverpool FC’s front three but could provide a decent amount of squad depth and rotation.

If Liverpool FC can negotiate a slightly cheaper fee, this could be a potentially good deal for all involved. Although reliable  depth for the front three is a necessity, this fee is maybe a little too steep for comfort.

Saul Niguez – Atletico Madrid – €40m- €50m

As reported by numerous reliable sources, Liverpool FC is highly interested in acquiring the services of Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez as a replacement for the PSG-bound Georginio Wijnaldum. According to the Liverpool Echo, Atletico Madrid will be looking to coup up to 50m for the Spaniard after an opening bid of £35m (40) was rejected. Liverpool FC could potentially include Divock Origi or Xherdan Shaqiri to sweeten the deal, according to the Liverpool Echo  reports.

It is also reported that Chelsea and Manchester United are interested in adding Saul Niguez to their ranks, therefore Liverpool FC should act quickly if they are to get their man.

Youri Tielemans – Leicester City – £64m

If widespread reports are to be believed, Liverpool FC is potentially prioritising on a new-look midfield this summer with the departure of Georginio Wijnaldum and question marks lingering over the capabilities and fitness of Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. One place Liverpool FC is looking for this candidate is Leicester City in Youri Tielmans. According to Mail Online, Leicester City is demanding an eye-watering fee of £64m for the Belgian, who contributed 6 goals and 4 assists for the Foxes last season.

At 24 years old, Liverpool FC would be investing in a midfielder that has their best years ahead of them and with experience in the Premier League. This is a similar acquisition to Georginio Wijnaldum back in 2016, albeit for over half the price.

Departures Roundup

If reports from Sky Sports are to be believed, Harry Wilson is due to complete a medical at Fulham ahead of a £ 12m move as the Welsh forward searches for regular first-team football.

Elsewhere, as contract talks have stalled between Jordan Henderson and the club, Arsenal have emerged as potential suitors for the Liverpool FC captain. A disastrous move if it happens as Arsenal is a direct rival to the club.

Bayer Leverkusen has shown an initial interest in Nat Philips; however, the German club for the 24-year-old has launched no formal bid.
