Sancho took the world by storm as Borussia Dortmund, growing into, at the time, arguably the best English winger in modern day football. Of course, the Premier League’s top clubs fought for his signature with Manchester United being the ones to capture the important signature. Unfortunately, Sancho hasn’t exactly took the world by storm at United, he’s barley managed to whip up a little breeze never mind a storm. So, take a bigger look at the rumors that link Sancho to PSG and Barcelona…
Time at Dortmund
Starting his career at Watford’s youth team before transferring to City in 2015, where he spent 2 years in the Citizen’s youth team. When Borussia Dortmund snapped up the upcoming talent for £8 million and was instantly put into the first team. Making the debut on 21st October 2017 as a substitute against Eintracht Frankfurt. He spent 4 seasons in total at Dortmund and grew into a prolific playmaker.
Manchester United
Which attracted the attention of the Red Devils. For a reported transfer fee of a whopping £73 million. However, he failed to become a key player, and despite having a more successful second season, Sancho was sent of on loan for his 3rd year at the Manchester outfit. Rejoining Dortmund on loan where he once again impressed as he shown moments of his former talent. Perhaps hinting he can still grow into a phenomenal player.
To France!
With Sancho coming back from a successful loan spell at Dortmund, it was up in the air whether or not he would be given a chance to perform in the upcoming season. He has featured in United’s pre-season friendlies, but it seems he might be going to make a move across the channel. French giants PSG have reportedly had a bid accepted and are already in talks with the winger himself! Chances are that we will find out if he’s going or staying over the next week, if negotiations have already progressed that far. PSG are not only interest in Sancho, as recent rumors suggest they are after both Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernades as well.
Barcelona
Recently the Catalans have been rumored in being interested in the winger. With him being Plan B should their pursuit of Nico Williams fail. Barcelona are rumored to be seizing up a £50 million offer for the English talent. No doubt that money could be used to bolster United’s mediocre squad before the start of the season but would still see the club loose money on the player. Perhaps it would be more cost effective to see if he could finally make the impact United need him to. After all if he does, he’ll be worth more to them than £50 million.
