Kombat Pack 3 – Character 5: Noob

A long-time favourite of the franchise, Noob Saibot originally debuted as a secret character in MK 2. Starting off here as he was recently leaked and is rumoured for Kombat Pack 2. But until he’s confirmed, he could possibly be saved for Kombat Pack 3. Noob was restricted from appearing in Mortal Kombat 1 as Bi-Han is still alive in the new timeline. Yet with dialogue hinting at his possible hand in his father’s death it seems this story is yet to unfold. So could this timeline’s Noob be Bi-Han’s deceased father?

Or with the new inclusion of multiple timelines a Noob from a different timeline could appear. Perhaps even Titan Noob. He would make a perfect fit to be a part of Titan Havik’s forces. That were alluded to in the post credits scene. Even if it’s just as a Kameo fighter, his inclusion would in any form would be welcome.

Kombat Pack 3 – Character 4: Tremor

Is anyone else still mind f****d that they actually put Tremor in a mainline MK game. The mad lads actually did something the community had been asking for for like 15+ years. :

Another one of Mortal Kombat’s ninja’s Tremor has recently exploded in popularity. With him being in Mortal Kombat: X, Mortal Kombat: X Comics, and Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind. The latter of which was by far the most memorable. With various action scenes highlighting the fighters’ abilities and brute strength.

As for how Tremor would work in the story, he could join Sub-Zero’s newly corrupted Lin-Kui. We know from past appearances across all MK media Tremor has questionable morals. Having teamed up with Kano and the Black Dragons. This would make Tremor an ideal candidate for a new left or right hand man. After all Sub-Zero will need to replace both his brother Scorpion, and his adopted brother Smoke. He is going to be added as a Kameo in Kombat Pack 1, so hopefully NRS see sense and fully flesh him out as a full character.

Kombat Pack 3 – Character 3: Montaro

Montaro is both seen and mentioned in Mortal Kombat 1’s story. With him being directly addressed as one of the fighters Raiden fights off screen. A centaur like creature, Montaro has always posed problems with his development. With Ed Boon going on record that his unique body type was always a struggle to animate to the same quality of the other characters. However, due to technology in the industry always getting better, could we finally see him be playable in his true form? Armageddon saw him return but as a more humanoid form.

He is present as a Kameo character in the new game, but this doesn’t scratch that Montaro itch. It would be good to see the old sub-bosses get realised to their full unique potentials in the new timeline. He’s tail provided him with greater reach than most. Aswell as being able to teleport and have good, ranged attacks, Montaro was a good zoner.

Kombat Pack 3 – Character 2: Kabal

Kabal is by far one of the most unique characters in the Mortal Kombat world. With his superspeed being inspired by characters like the Flash, his abilities do provide Kabal with a unique move set. He has also been ranked as the best competitive character by MK personality and pro player Ketchup. His hook-swords are unique as well with the only other character to use them being Mavado.  With Mavado being included as Kameo in Kombat Pack 1, we will be left wondering where the true master of the hook-swords is.

How would Kabal been included? That’s the question. As unfortunately we have no black or red dragon clan in this timeline. But as seen in MK 1’s story, he doesn’t need to be off this timeline. We could see Titan Kabal, good or bad Kabal. The possibilities are endless and that is something that is truly exciting about Mortal Kombat 1. Anyone can return. Anyone can return in a new form.

Kombat Pack 3 – Character 1: Kintaro

Kintaro, the original successor to Goro. First appearing in Mortal Kombat 2, he differs from Goro as his subrace of Shokan takes after tigers, not dragons. Kintaro looks the part to. His intimidating stature makes him look like a four armed Sher Khan.

Unfortunately, we haven’t played as Kintaro since Mortal Kombat (2011). The Mortal Kombat X comics showed him die by getting his head ripped off. The comics did all Shokan dirty. With Goro also getting all four arms cut off by Kotal Khan. Kintaro’s image needs to be fixed. He was a devastatingly hard sub-boss who unfortunately has been rendered to a mere after thought. And if the recent datamine for Kombat Pack 2 is to be believed, like Goro, Kintaro is relegated to just a Kameo this instalment.
