5 New Mega Pokémon We Want to See in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Pokémon has introduced various gimmick features in each mainline game. With Generation 8 for example bringing Dynamax forms to the games. Mega Evolutions (the first gimmick) were first introduced in Generation 6 in the games Pokémon X and Y. With the feature returning in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. It’s even set to return in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, so here are some Megas we would love to see…

5 – Mega Noivern

One of the most iconic Pokémon to come from generation 6, Noivern is a draconic bat creature that evolves from the adorable Noibat. It’s popular purple and black color scheme brilliantly complements each other. As for typing, as part Dragon type, Noivern has access to some of the most powerful attacks in the game such as:. If it were to get a Mega evolution they could enhance the Pokémon even further and create an amazing new design at the same time.

4 – Mega Aurorus

Another dinosaur inspired Pokémon, Aurorus seems to be inspired by sauropods, like Meganium and Tropicus. The Pokémon’s dinosaur inspiration can by taken further in the Mega evolution, with the creatives having plenty to draw from. In my opinion the dinosaur Megas look the best, the most fierce and powerful by far. So, it would be really nice to see more of them in the new game. I feel like dinosaurs on a whole fit the Legends spin-off games, with the games being set in the past. The ice rock combination will also add some type coverage that Mega evolutions on a whole are lacking.

3 – Mega Flygon

Mega Flygon was already meant to have appeared but sadly the artist couldn’t come up with a design he was happy with before the deadline. Leaving Mega Flygon in the wind. Many fans found out about this and have cried out for Game Freak to finally give the Pokémon the upgrade it deserves. Fans themselves have come up with some amazing fan designs for the Mega. So, Game Freak, what are you waiting for?

2 – Mega Zygarde

Zygarde has already received a lot of forms but still remains to really get much story focus. If he was included in Legends Z-A they could flesh out his role in the Pokémon world more. As well as bring an awesome, probably overpowered, Mega evolution for the legendary Pokémon. The creatives behind designing Pokémon have already shown they have amazingly creative ideas for Zygarde so I can only get giddy when thinking about all the possibilities.

1 – Mega Volcanion

Now for my chosen mythical. Volcanion has a very unique dual typing, with it being both fire and water type. This coverage isn’t something that’s very common in Pokémon. In fact, Volcanion is the only fire/water type Pokémon. So, it only makes sense to give him a Mega evolution so we can have this impressively unique and effective type coverage in the late game. Volcanion’s design would lend itself to an imposing ME as well. With his design being perfect to take in multiple directions. Leaving artists with a true creative playground. I hope if any on this list get a ME, it’s Volcanion.
