About

Since opening its doors to the public in 2008, M&S Bank Arena is a modern indoor arena situated in the heart of Liverpool. Alongside live music and comedy productions, sporting events are also hosted here too, showing how the venue accommodates the tastes of multiple people. Next door to this arena is The Auditorium which is a smaller venue that is adapted for specific performances.

Productions

There are several different types of events that are hosted at the M&S Bank Arena including as mentioned before, sporting events and live music. The times and the dates of performances are versatile also including daytime events, evening and late-night performances too, alongside weekdays, weeknights and weekends. The Auditorium mainly features theatre, comedy gigs, family shows, and spoken word performances.

Audience

The M&S Bank Arena accommodates the likes of many different people. There is something for everyone. Where teenagers and young adults may like to enjoy the live music of Dua Lipa, families with young children may benefit from watching Disney on Ice Magical Ice Festival. All performances make for a lovely day, evening or night.

Seating

With seating up to 11,000, this huge venue accommodates for many people and is split into 5 sections of seating. The upper tier provides plenty of seating, as does the lower tier. The floor seating gives the best view but has less seats than the other tiers. There are also VIP boxes situated above the sides of the upper tiers, and accessible bays are dotted around the tiers too. Alongside this arena, The Auditorium is adjoined and allows the public to be closer to their idols, with only 1,350 seats available.

Facilities

In the arena, there are accessible toilets and baby changing facilities, alongside accessible friendly seating. There many restaurants within the arena serving lots of different food, with VIP packages available. There is also a Gin Lounge serving the finest drinks, with a VIP Package also available which allows complementary glasses of prosecco, full table service and much more!

Location

Situated in the heart of the city centre, the venue is surrounded by lots of things to do. From shopping in Liverpool One to Liverpool’s famous museums and art galleries, a fantastic day out is instantly achievable. Similarly, if you are visiting the M&S Bank Arena at night, there are many bars and restaurants to blow you away, and there is also late night shopping until 8pm.

Parking

The Liverpool Waterfront Car Park is situated near to the arena, and is a secure carpark. There is on-site car parking available but it is limited and is available on a first-come first-served basis, however accessible car parking is available on-site. For people journeying by taxi, there is a drop-off and pick-up point by the Taxi Rank on Kings Parade.

Transport

If travelling by bus, the bus station at Liverpool One is only a 5-minute walk away and is the same for Queen Square bus station. If travelling by train, it is only a short taxi journey away, and destinations to many different cities are available.

Restaurants

Being a large city, Liverpool boasts a huge range of restaurants, including chain restaurants and family owned restaurants too, only a short walk away from the M&S Arena. They all serve lots of different food so you will not fall shirt of deciding what you want to eat, as there are numerous options. Eat-in and takeaway options are available in most restaurants for convenience.

Bars, Pubs & Clubs

Liverpool is renowned for its nightlife, so there are many options available when it comes to choosing where to go. Seel Street is a short taxi ride away from the arena, and offers exotic places like Aloha, a Hawaiian themed cocktail bar, and the club Heebie Jeebies which is open until late. Hardman Street, also easily accessible, offers two outstanding pubs with a great atmosphere, The Pilgrim and Ye Cracke. Furthermore, Concert Square is home to many popular bars and clubs open until late.

Liverpool offers many hotels to pick from, nearby the M&S Bank Arena. The Pullman Hotel, a 4-star hotel with reasonable prices, is a stylish hotel offering 216 rooms and suites to choose from. It also has a restaurant, wine bar, and a fitness centre. Also nearby and only an 8-minute walk to Lime Street Station is Quest, a 4-star hotel which offers a range of apartments, also reasonably priced. It includes WiFi, parking, a bar, and a fitness centre. Only a 5-minute walk from the venue is 3-star hotel, Hampton by Hilton, with an onsite secure car park, complimentary hot breakfast, and complimentary internet and fitness suites. Being such a huge dynamic city, Liverpool has so much to do. For rainy days, you may want to take a visit to the Museum Of Liverpool which tells the history of the city, the World Museum, or Liverpool Cathedral, a beautiful gothic-style building. The Tate also makes for a good day out, exploring modern art, as does visiting Liverpool One which contains all your favourite high street shops. For sunnier days, it may be pleasant to take a stroll on the Docks or Sefton Park located within the city.
