The MonsterVerse and Godzilla have both never been as popular as right now. With Godzilla Minus One exploding the Box Office last year and Godzilla x Kong seemingly set to do the same this year, the franchise is on a record high. It would only make more sense to have more Toho Kaiju appear in the MonsterVerse series. As recently we seem to be getting more and more Legendary created creatures rather than Toho’s iconic monsters. With the last inclusion really being Ghidorah, Rodan, and Mothra in Godzilla: King of the Monsters. It’s about time some more Toho Kaiju appear and here are our ideas for Kaiju that need to join the MonsterVerse.
Kaiju That Need to Join the MonsterVerse: Top 4
4 – Ebirah
Now by all means Ebirah is a pretty lame Kaiju, but my idea for their appearance in the MonsterVerse is to just have them included to be brutally defeated. After all I think it would be a great showcase of a potential new villains strength, or even the strength of Godzilla when he doesn’t hold back. It would be an opportunity to have a fight in the oceans. As the Legendary films do feature a Godzilla that is very versatile and agile in water. It would be great to add and expand onto the ocean fight in Godzilla vs Kong and really showcase how powerful Godzilla is in the water. With Ebirah being a giant lobster essentially there is also some creative ways to end the fight. Gojira could rip of a claw or two and kill the monster by impaling them into itself.
Kaiju That Need to Join the MonsterVerse: Top 3
3 – Biollante
Spawned from a rose and a little girl, Biollante is a giant mutated rose monster. And with the monster’s origin heavily featuring a young girl, it would provide a great way to feature some younger characters like Wingard’s Godzilla vs Kong. Which features multiple young characters and storylines prominently featuring them. The creatures unique appearance would also provide a great variety for monsters. As the ones we have been seeing recently are a lot of the same, weird reptile/mammal looking things. This way we could finally see some nature gone wild examples ok Kaiju, akin to The Little Shop of Horrors monster.
2 – Gamera
Gamera is by far the most successful Kaiju outside of the Godzilla franchise. With Gamera even being touted as Godzilla’s biggest competitor at one point. But aside all the fans cries and pleas for a movie starring the two killer Kaiju, one has never came to fruition. Perhaps with Netflix doing both Godzilla and Gamera animation projects we could perhaps see them cross over in animation even if we are never to see them both in the MonsterVerse. Although Legendary would just have to get permission to use Gamera like they did Gojira. Meaning it could still happen. But would Legendary risk offending the higher ups at Toho by reaching out to a potential competitor?

1 – Gigan
Now time for my favourite of Godzilla’s rogue gallery- Gigan. A cyborg dinosaur from outer space, what’s not to love? Gigan has featured prominently in the Toho produced Godzilla films first featuring in Godzilla vs. Gigan and appearing last in Godziban. He has proven his popularity with the fandom as he is constantly requested by fans to join the Legendary movies. His inclusion would also open up space as another opportunity for stories, Kaiju, and other Alien threats. Like the many Alien species that featured in the Toho films.
