This is our review of Elton John at Anfield Stadium, home of Liverpool Football Club. So, let’s take a look at Elton John!

Description Of Elton John

What more is there to say about Elton John? He is a true legend and one of the most famous British singers of all time. His back catalogue goes back decades, and he is responsible for a plethora of iconic tracks. Furthermore, he evolves with the times, and his versatility ranges from upbeat dance tracks to slow emotional soliloquies. And now, after more than 50 years of performing live, his Goodbye Yellow Brick Road tour acts as his extensive farewell.

All of which makes this particular music performance a real treat. Getting to see the man himself live is enticing enough. But this would mark his first-ever performance at Anfield Stadium, the iconic home of LFC. As a result, tens of thousands packed into the stadium to watch this particular concert. And over the course of 2 ½ hours, they got to see and hear everything they wanted.

Analysis Of Elton John

It’s impossible to include every one of his hits, even in a stadium show. But we did get to hear all of the truly amazing tracks from his legendary career. These included Candle In The Wind, I’m Still Standing and Saturday Night’s Alright. Not forgetting I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues (a treat for the Evertonians on hand!). We also heard Cold Hearts, his unique collaboration with Dua Lipa (who was sadly not in attendance). There were many other tracks too, and Elton had the crowd in the palm of his hand all night. Indeed, the man himself also proved that he’s more than capable of holding a concert from start to finish.

Sat behind his trusty piano and sporting numerous eye-catching coats, Elton did what he does best all night. That is, to sing with his heart’s content to the admiration and adulation of the audience. And being the musical master that he is, he would often explain the context of particular hits. All of which makes this a great show for both the longtime fan and the brand new follower. And as noted, his work is so varied that there is something for everyone amongst his large collection of tunes. I must also mention the spectacular screen effects that would make each track stand out even more. Though I particularly appreciated the moments when we saw photographs and videos spanning his entire life. The final scene of him walking up that yellow brick road one last time provided a truly emotional conclusion/

Summary Of Elton John

With this being his farewell tour, it’s imperative to watch this all-time icon while you can. But even if this was “just another tour”, I would strongly encourage you to watch Elton John. He’s an immensely talented singer and pianist, and his show contains so many well-written and catchy tunes. Add to that the special vibes of watching the show in Anfield, and you end up with an unforgettable concert. Truly amazing stuff courtesy of one of the greatest singers in history.
