DVD Review: The Best Of The Intercontinental Championship – WWE
You're most likely to find this worthwhile if you're an avid collector or if you simply want a low-priced wrestling DVD. Or if, as with Gorilla Monsoon, you're a big fan of Skinner.
DVD Review: Bret Hitman Hart – The Best There Is –...
For those (like me) who grew up watching the Hitman, reliving his glory days is a great experience, and as the name of the DVD says, the compilation proves that at his peak, Bret Hart lived up to his moniker of being The Best There Is, The Best There Was and The Best There Ever Will Be.
DVD Review: The History Of The WWE Championship
The only snag in terms of buying this DVD is that you'll probably already own many of the matches featured here but, even if you do, I still highly recommend this DVD; to me, it is one of the top WWE DVDs ever.
DVD Review: The Best Of Raw – 15th Anniversary – WWE
Those who buy this DVD for the bouts may be disappointed, although some gems are here; but for those who want a round-up of the first 15 years of Raw's greatest moments, in and out of the ring, this compilation is an essential purchase.
DVD Review: Tombstone – The History Of The Undertaker – WWE
A modern-day look at Taker's career, including a proper documentary and a round-up of matches covering his entire career, from the pre-WWE days to the major bouts of the 1990s and his biker phase to the highlights of the Streak, would unquestionably be superior, but in the meantime fans should be satisfied.
Movie Review: Hitman Hart: Wrestling With Shadows
Hitman Hart: Wrestling With Shadows is a brilliant documentary and a must-see for all followers of the world of professional wrestling.
DVD Review: WWE WrestleMania 22
Watching the WrestleMania 22 DVD set brings back memories of the days when WWE was by no means PG, from violent action to sexual content. For fans who dislike the current version of WWE, you will love this set, but even if that isn't an issue, this is still a wrestling DVD release that you need to own.
DVD Review: Raw 100: The Top 100 Moments In Raw History...
I would suggest giving this DVD a viewing. It won't make any Best Of lists of its own, and you'll probably have seen most of the profiled moments in full elsewhere but, mainly because of the addition of Raw 1000, it's fairly enjoyable. If you can, buy the Blu-ray instead of the DVD as it is a more complete package.
DVD Review: WWE WrestleMania XXVI
I recommend this set: it's an underrated WrestleMania which should keep you entertained for most of its duration, and you should get a kick out of the Hall Of Fame ceremony. Just don't expect a lot from the bonus matches involving the HOF inductees.
DVD Review: The Ladder Match – WWE
This is a brilliant wrestling DVD which rarely has a dull moment across its entire running time. If you don't already own The Ladder Match, buy it today!
DVD Review: Shawn Michaels: Mr. WrestleMania – WWE
If you already own most WM events on DVD then this may be a tough sell, but for any other WWE fans, you should own this: it is a truly great wrestling compilation that pays tribute to the one and only Mr. WrestleMania, Shawn Michaels.
DVD Review: The Best Of King Of The Ring – WWE
The Best Of King Of The Ring feels a bit unnecessary, the match selection is difficult to explain, and the chronology is a bit weird. But there are still some very good matches here, so whilst I wouldn't class this as being anywhere near a must-own set, you should get a fair amount of enjoyment out of it.
DVD Review: The Best Of In Your House – WWE
Combined with the small touches to make the release stand out, The Best Of In Your House is rather like the event itself was: it may not be the most vital purchase, and by missing it you won't necessarily regret it, but if you do decide to buy it, you'll be rewarded with plenty of action and entertainment.
DVD Review: The 50 Greatest Finishing Moves In WWE History
This is not quite as bad as some would have you believe, but the countdown is not exactly the most enthralling to be produced by WWE, and although the matches seemed more relevant to the DVD theme than I had previously thought, they still feel a bit random, with no truly must-see bouts included.
DVD Review: Stone Cold Steve Austin: The Bottom Line – WWE
If you already own it, re-watch it; if you don’t own it, buy it immediately; as a total package, it is arguably the greatest WWF/WWE DVD ever. And that’s the bottom line, cause Stone Cold said so.
