WWE Royal Rumble 2021 was a highly enjoyable PPV event which starts off the Road To WrestleMania 37 in a memorable fashion.

This wasn't the best Royal Rumble show ever, but it was one that I definitely got a kick out of.

With a massive debut, one historic Rumble match and another Rumble exceeding expectations, WWE Royal Rumble 2018 was a truly awesome PPV.

WWE Royal Rumble 2017 was an excellent show, with a classic WWE Title bout, a strong Universal Title clash and a memorable Rumble match.

The path to the biggest WWE PPV event of the year, that being WrestleMania 32 of course, began with a mostly enjoyable Royal Rumble 2016.

Royal Rumble 2015 did set up the main event of WrestleMania 31 but otherwise the Royal Rumble match flatlined for the second consecutive year.

Royal Rumble 2014 was pretty good, but the show will always be remembered for the fans telling WWE what was wrong with their booking.

WWE Royal Rumble 2013 was a big success. CM Punk vs. The Rock lived up to the hype, delivering a feel-good ending to set up WrestleMania 29.

WWE Royal Rumble 2012 was an underwhelming show due to a disappointing under-card and a Rumble match that satisfied few.

WWE Royal Rumble 2011 was actually a low-key smash hit on a quality level in hindsight with several strong encounters on the night.

Fittingly, WWE Royal Rumble 2010 is most notable for the Rumble match itself, and in particular the surprising return of Edge.

WWE Royal Rumble 2009 is a really solid card overall, and it's a nice snapshot of this particular time period in the company.

WWE Royal Rumble 2008 has a lot to offer with two very exciting championship matches, a majestic location, and a classic Rumble encounter.

I feel that WWE Royal Rumble 2007 is a topsy-turvy show but Cena vs. Umaga is tremendous as is the closing stretch of the Rumble itself.

WWE Royal Rumble 2006 stands out for one of the more unlikely triumphs in Rumble history. The rest of the card? We've definitely seen better.

Overall, WWE Royal Rumble 2005 was a fun show with a very good main event. And of course we had a visual that no fan will ever forget.

WWE Royal Rumble 2003 is a real mix of the spectacular and the sucktacular. One title match is a classic, while the other is a stinkbomb.

WWF Royal Rumble 2002 was very good. Flair vs. Vince is fun, Jericho vs. Rock is outstanding, and the Rumble match itself is memorable.

WWF Royal Rumble 2001 is one of the best Rumble PPV events of all time, fittingly in part due to a truly awesome 30-man Royal Rumble match.
