In 2016, there were perhaps more stand-out PPV showdowns than ever before in WWE, and many of them are included in this collection.

The WWE Universe witnessed some of the greatest matches of The New Era in 2016. Dream matches were realised, members of The New Era stole the show, and legends showed the world they’ve still got it.

Hell In A Cell 2016 was a historic night in WWE, as it would be the first time ever that a Pay-Per-View event was headlined by an all-female encounter, which is a testament to the talent and popularity of Sasha Banks and Charlotte, the two combatants in said match.

WWE Hell In A Cell 2016 is coming to DVD, and it features three HIAC matches, including the first ever women's Hell In A Cell bout.

More than in any other year, Money In The Bank 2014 is all about the Ladder matches. Both are exciting battles, and with one additional thriller on the under-card, MITB 2014 makes for an enjoyable wrestling DVD.

Though few will remember this card six months from now, Hell In A Cell 2014 is still an entertaining show on the whole, and so it makes for an entertaining wrestling DVD.

Payback 2015 saw the continuation of Seth Rollins' WWE Title reign and the conclusion of the long feud between John Cena and Rusev. Otherwise, it was largely a case of the same old product from WWE, although there are a number of enjoyable matches.

Extreme Rules 2015 didn't quite achieve the excitement that the card has in the last few years. One of the matches is very good (and few expected anything from it beforehand, making it doubly impressive), but the rest of the card is only adequate at best.

Besides the must-see 3-way match (which will no doubt be available on other compilations in future), nothing here is worth going out of your way to see unless you want a first-hand look at how not to book a major match. Take away the WWE Title match and the lowish rating would be even smaller.

Whilst it's by no means a five-star event, TLC is one of the better shows held on Pay-Per-View in 2014, and so this DVD is a decent way to close out an unforgettable year in the wacky world of WWE.

I'd recommend that you watch the opening bout and then skip ahead to the headline attraction. If the main event hadn't been so epic, the rating below would have been a lot lower.

This is a fun show for sure, and there's nothing truly bad on the card at all, but it's far from the year's best.

Hopefully, given that he is still only 36, we may get a third collection in the future, as Randy Orton will hopefully keep hitting RKO's from outta nowhere for some time to come.

A proper documentary could have elevated this into a package worthy of Brock's mega-star status; as it is, it is one which may only be fully appreciated by those who wish to take a trip to Suplex City.

It was tough to watch the card back on DVD, to be honest, because so much of the show feels like filler. This is worth owning to see Kevin Owens become a real star with great assistance from John Cena, but otherwise it's probably not worth you splashing out on this DVD.

Cena-Styles 2 and the brutal ending to Lesnar vs. Orton are the main reasons for you to get this DVD, but there is plenty of entertainment to be found elsewhere across the two discs. Just try to ignore the crowd during the Universal Championship match.

Battleground 2015 is a pretty good option with a superb Cena-Owens match, some strong action in the Orton-Sheamus and Reigns-Wyatt battles, and while the match is largely unspectacular, the ending to Rollins-Lesnar is definitely memorable.
