WWE Backlash 2020 was headlined by Edge vs. Randy Orton in a WrestleMania rematch, which WWE promoted as "the greatest wrestling match ever".

Royal Rumble 2012 is a somewhat underwhelming card, especially given the high stakes of this annual tradition. So, while you’ll definitely find some moments to enjoy from watching the show, I wouldn’t suggest that you should go out of your way to see it.

The finish of the last match aside, Extreme Rules 2012 is a great show on the whole, and is well worth checking out on DVD.

Ignoring the main event, Over The Limit 2012 is really good, and Punk-Bryan is a must-watch. Cena-Laurinaitis drags things down, though, meaning that by watching this DVD, you will see the very best and the very worst of WWE from that era.

When The Rock and Brock Lesnar weren’t around, the 2012 WWE product wasn’t particularly interesting at all, as this PPV demonstrates. It’s not a terrible card by any means, but hardly anything sticks out when all is said and done.

This will inevitably be compared to the Money In The Bank card from a year earlier, and as a result, it comes across as inferior. But the first Ladder match is great, Punk vs. Bryan is very exciting and the headline bout does have its moments.

This is an odd show. The opener and the main event are excellent, but the crowd reactions couldn’t be any more different. While the action is largely adequate for the bouts in between, nothing truly leaves a lasting memory.

What happens when a one-match card suffers from outside factors forcing that bout to be cancelled? We found out at this year's TLC event, when the official reunion match of The Shield against a five-man army under Tables, Ladder and Chairs rules saw Roman Reigns removed for medical reasons with 48 hours' notice.

The very first WWE DVD to be published by Fremantle Home Entertainment in the United Kingdom, the change-over from Clear/Silver Vision explains the delay in the release of this event, which was staged in September 2012. Was it worth the wait to see it on DVD? Kinda.

Hell In A Cell 2012 kept things simple with just the one Cell bout, a well-built collision between longtime WWE Champion CM Punk and the undefeated, Goldberg-like Ryback. That being said, it is another match which stands as the main reason to see this DVD.

This is a fun show for sure, and there's nothing truly bad on the card at all, but it's far from the year's best.

For Roman Reigns fans, this is evidence that under the right circumstances, The Big Dog could and would be accepted as the Main Man in WWE.

This is a really enjoyable event, which advances, instigates and concludes feuds to prepare WWE for the summer ahead, while delivering some great action. Not the best Money In The Bank show ever, but it's an eventful card which warrants a DVD purchase.

Based on what we do have here, though, this is another fine entry in the series. Taker vs. HHH is a classic, and there are at least another half-a-dozen matches that are really good or in some way memorable.

This is a good recap of (most of) the key moments from Sheamus' early years, and a reminder that he was a genuinely important and appreciated part of WWE before his career was reduced to battling off chants of "You look stupid!"

Despite the snowball-effect of the content on offer, Raw and SmackDown are well worth watching, the retro match is enjoyable, and SMS is compelling for different reasons. So, if you're planning to revisit UK television tapings from WWE, this is one of the better options.

Things would improve for the better a few weeks later with the arrival of a certain faction known as The Shield. They would play a key role in the next round of UK tapings, which I will document in the April 2013 review.

It's far from offensive and you'll get a kick out of various matches and segments, but this is not a vintage WWE DVD whatsoever. Oh, and skip NXT.

Only die-hard collectors or fans of The Undertaker (since this was his 25th anniversary) are likely to enjoy this DVD; otherwise, barring a clearance sale, you may want to steer clear of this one.
