Due to some baffling booking, strange match placements and lacklustre performances, Backlash 2018 is hard to recommend.

Backlash 2018 is WWE’s first major event since WrestleMania 34, with over three hours of sensational action from the Superstars of Raw and SmackDown!

There are plenty of moments and matches here that will cater to every fan, from the casual viewer tuning into see Ronda Rousey’s debut to the longtime follower watching for Undertaker vs. Cena to the die-hard supporter that will eat up Gargano vs. Ciampa.

The Double Feature format makes this a more worthwhile investment, but while you'll definitely enjoy aspects of each card, it may be more advisable to wait until the show that these cards helped to set up, WrestleMania 34, hits DVD instead.

The last release from this series of Pay-Per-View Double Features collects Elimination Chamber 2018 and Fast Lane 2018 on the Road To WrestleMania!

While NXT may have passed its initial peak a few years back, the groundwork has been laid for the brand to arguably achieve even greater things as 2018 rolls on. If that is the case, 2017 will have played an important role in that, making this DVD worth watching that much more.

Looking back, the two Rumble matches and the Handicap match are the main reasons to see this again, though it's Ronda Rousey's show-closing appearance that will stand as the reason to most remember Royal Rumble 2018. Either way, the show was a big success, and you'll have a lot of fun reliving it on DVD.

If you want to relive one of the more underrated, crazy, eventful, unpredictable and exciting years in recent WWE history, this DVD is a great way to do so. It's far from a complete round-up, but it's still a lot of fun.
