This is our review of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Liverpool‘s Epstein Theatre!
Description Of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
The Bentley Operatic Society returns to the Epstein Theatre. And it comes with a sparkling production of Joseph by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber. The Bentley Operatic Society performed annually at the Epstein from around 1926 up to the closure in 2004 with over 75 productions. For our homecoming, we present one of the most popular Lloyd Webber shows. It was originally written for a school production in 1968. But it has now expanded into a spectacular full-length musical. This is an amateur production in arrangement with The Really Useful Group Ltd.
Analysis Of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
With an experienced cast and a focus on the performers themselves, this was a fun show. to watch. The running time was 2 hours 40 minutes including the interval. Elliot Tutt played Joseph, whilst Kizzy Leigh was the narrator, and the show featured a huge cast. This is a story of love and jealousy. Jacob, Joseph’s father, loved Joseph more than his other 11 children, as Jacob was elderly when Joseph was born. Jacob loved him so much that he had a beautiful coat made of many colours. And he gave it to Joseph, which only made Joseph’s siblings very jealous. Things escalate from there.
The show opened with a live orchestra conducted by the brilliant Wendy Tucker. Kizzy Leigh gave an excellent performance as the narrator. The singing throughout the show was very good. Furthermore, the costumes were excellent and colourful, particularly Joseph’s coat of many colours. The audience was very enthusiastic and raucous, and the cast thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Summary Of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
