So, Sophie Sheridan (Phoebe Roberts) wishes to meet the father she never knew. This quest brings her mother face-to-face with three different men from her distant romantic past! Analysis Of Mamma Mia!

Watching this show was a wonderful experience. The musical soundtrack was excellent. Of course, it was based on the songs of ABBA, written by Benny Anderson and Bjorn Ulvaeus. So, you already know that you’re in for a treat with songs like that! Not to mention that it was fabulous seeing the packed Empire Theatre. Indeed, the audience was very excited and lively.

Furthermore, the cast thoroughly enjoyed themselves, giving a tremendous performance with enthusiasm and energy. We saw very colourful costumes and the scenery was authentic for the plotline; it was simple and creative. I found the script witty and it was delivered with passion and emotion. Meanwhile, the choreography was great, and special mention must go to Pepper (James Willoughby Moore). Indeed, he delivered some amazing dance moves and very energetic acrobatics.

It was also very good to have a live band; before the curtain rose, the music intro was deafening. I appreciate the band needs to get the audience to settle down and their attention. And the band proved to be fabulous throughout the show. I was surprised that it took the audience a while to warm up and sing along. Mind you, I heard one theatre actually asked some attendees to leave after spoiling the show with singing. Not in Liverpool. The whole audience gave a standing ovation by clapping, dancing, and singing along at the end.

Summary Of Mamma Mia!

I would thoroughly recommend you go and see this fun-filled, feel-good factor show. Make sure to see it during its current run at Liverpool’s Empire Theatre!
