About

Manchester Arena is the largest indoor arena in Europe, holding approximately 21,000 people. It opened in 1995 and has hosted many hugely-loved artists including the likes of Lady Gaga, Pavarotti and The Rolling Stones. The venue welcomes over one million visitors per year and has previously won the International Venue Of The Year award.

Productions

The arena holds a variety of events including music concerts and many sports championship competitions. Local performers like Oasis, Simply Red and Take That have taken to the iconic Manchester stage over the years, along with international performers such as Madonna and The Jonas Brothers. It has also welcomed the best of comedy from the North (an example being crowd favourite Peter Kay) and the South (the hilarious Michael McIntyre).

Audience

Manchester Arena welcomes all ages and holds events suitable for a variety of different audiences throughout the year.

Seating

The arena has three levels: floor, lower tier and upper tier. The lower blocks (101-122) and upper blocks (201-222) have fixed tiered seating, and the floor usually has 18 blocks (depending on the event).

Facilities

The NCP Car Park has disabled parking and lift access to the City Room entrance, as well as lift access to the right of the Hunts Bank steps, providing access to the Hunts Bank entrance of the arena. There are designated arenas for wheelchair users and those with walking difficulties. Wheelchairs are also available at the venue, and stewards will provide assistance. It is recommended by the arena that you use the Hunts Bank entrance to go to the customer service desk if this is required.

Assistance dogs are welcomed at Manchester Arena; it is asked that you get in touch to let the venue know prior to arriving at the arena in order for care arrangements to be made for your dog. A Hearing Loop system is installed in the arena bowl; again, get in touch with the arena and speak to their accessibility Team for more information about booking tickets for this area.

There are accessible toilets (three unisex toilets – two located on the concourse at Block 112 and Block 122, and the third by the bar area on the floor). There is also a wheelchair accessible toilet in each toilet block set (three female sets, three male). These are situated on the concourse opposite Blocks 110, 116 and 122.

Location

The arena is located in Manchester city centre on the corner of Trinity Way, Hunts Banks and Great Ducie Street, next to Victoria Station. The postcode is M3 1AR.
